About George Sabolick

George started playing guitar at the age of 9. He was brought up on Beatles songs, the Byrds and a little bit of everything in-between that the 60’s had to offer. When he was 14, George saved his money and purchased his first Martin D-35, which carried him into his career. He started playing at high school dances which led to performing at night clubs full-time.

George has a love for finger style guitar music, being influenced by Chet Akins, Doyle Dykes, Laurence Juber and many others. He has a passion to involve himself in a world of finger style guitar enthusiasts. George teaches guitarclinics for Martin Guitar & Co., does session work and has produced and played on 9 CDs. He also publishes music for his company, Cedar Top Publishing.

Being brought up in a Christian home, George became saved by the healing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. With this new beginning, George turned his talents to the Giver of his gift and answered the calling on his life to be a Worship Leader/Songwriter.

He currently is the Worship Pastor at Trinity Baptist Church in Downey, California.  Previous he was the Worship Pastor at Calvary Chapel Jurupa Valley under Senior Pastor Jim D’Alessandro and before that he was at Calvary Laguna under Senior Pastor Don McClure. Before coming to Calvary Laguna, George had been leading worship for 2000 people weekly at Calvary Chapel Rialto for 15 years.
It has been said the George just loves God, people and guitars. He says that he has owned many fine guitars in his life, but always has found his way back home to that great Martin® sound. Recently, George was accepted into the very select and prestigious star-studded list of “Famous Martin Guitar Owners” in the Martin Guitar® web site. George currently plays the D-18DC and the OMC-18VL J.

George resides in South Orange County with his wife, Dona. He has three boys, Richard, Adam and Jordan.
